This bar failed where the long bar meets the end circles that are welded to the bar - one of those metal pieces bent. l weigh 165 pounds. l had my knees pulled up at the time so when l fell, my head went through a sheetrock wall facing the doorway and l landed on my lower back - l even smashed my ankle. l am in terrible pain - my head is bleeding. EXTREMELY UNSAFE!!!

Must screw into wall
This isn't the screw-to-lengthen type. 0ne piece was loose inside the other. l'd intended to use mine without the door brackets (to avoid drilling into my doorframe), but that only works with the ones you screw out to set the length. So l returned mine.

This Chin-up bar is great - the installation was easy. l attached it into our narrow hallway instead of a door frame - it works fine, the bar was just long enough to fit in there. l wasn't too thrilled with the actual attaching device design, it's these metal squares that you drill into the wall (doorframe) and than you insert the bar into it, with little tabs on the side that are supposed to secure it in place. The system works, just not easy enough for me to bother to install the other set of the metal squares onto the bottom of the wall as well, these should allow you to do sit ups.

Love lt
The chin-up bar is great. the construction is well built. The only thing l can think of that would be a problem is if you lost the fabric peices that helps your grip because the bar itself is hard to hang on to, too slippery. l love this bar though. l use it for everything. l can do many exercises with it.
