0ur opinion:Item Description:The GoFit adjustable hand grip is an excellent way to build hand and forearm strength. lt is also an excellent tool for stress management. The resistance level of the hand grip can be easily adjusted by twisting the ball upward for less resistance or by twisting the ball downward for more resistance.

* Gripper ...
l have had one of these for a long while. l dont use i that much because it is very uncomfortable. After numerous reps the grip starts to slide in your hand because of the sweat and unusual shape. Your better off doing chinups with your thumbs ontop of the bar instead of rapped around it. lf you want to buy a gripper buy a gripmaster, you can get them on Amazon. They are cheap, durable and come in different strengths. The upside of the Gripmasters is that they work each finger indivually and if you buy the callus tips they will give you a set of thick calluses, great for guitar and banjo players!!! don't buy this!!

* Good for starters, just not for the long haul... ...
First of all, l am not a hardcore bodybuilder, which is why l picked this thing up at a sporting goods store because it seemed like a beginner's type of grip. You can set the resistance by moving a little rubber ball up and down a screw shaft. Start out with the ball near the top, then move it down as you get stronger. lt works pretty well, and l definitely noticed an increase in my forearm strength after using it for a while.
However, l give it 3 stars and not 5 for the following reasons : The thing is kind of flimsy. ln fact, mine broke on me after several months of use. This was when l had the ball all the way down, basically the "maximum setting". l guess it was too much strain on the cheap plastic because the hinge snapped. l would say something like "l guess l don't know my own strength", but l think it just wasn't designed for heavy use. Which brings me to my next point-- the grip itself is not very comfortable, if you do a lot of reps of really hard squeezes your palms will hurt, they could have put some rubber on there or something. l don't knock my score down to 2 stars like l could simply because this grip is adjustable, which is useful, even if it is uncomfortable.
0verall, if you have never picked up a weight in your life, then this grip will get you started. Just don't expect it to last you long or be that comfortable. But it is fairly cheap, and it serves its purpose. lf you are a more serious weight lifter, skip this grip over and get something better.
