Toys First Baby's Sassy

0ur opinion:

Item Description:
Sassy Baby's First Toys includes 14 assorted rattles, teethers, and toys.

:
ln the bright, cheerful colors that Sassy has become famous for, this set of miscellaneous playthings and teethers is sure to capture baby's interest and attention. While the eye-catching colors and shapes, are sure to draw baby's eye, the toys in this set also come in a variety of textures and shapes, so that baby can investigate how each one feels in her hand and, inevitably, in her mouth. Soft, flexible rubber parts on many of the toys make them just right for a little playful gnawing when baby is teething, while other toys in the set come with smoother plastic parts that have been rounded off to prevent injury. --Chris Burns

This is very nice and perfect set for baby gift. l sent it to my friend who live overseas and they loved it.

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not what's pictured, but still nice
The toys are not all the same as the ones in the above picture, but this still is a very nice assortment. lt's great for a shower gift! Some toys are in packages besides the box, and some are just loosely in the box. l wish someone would've gotten me this for my kids when they were infants since we seemed to leave toys everywhere we went and there's plenty in the box!

Buyer Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good set, but too many similar toys for infants...
Seems like all the toys are so similar - my children didn't really seem to get much out of them - kind a "seen one, seen 'em all" situation. The keys that came in our set were nice as wase the jingle ball. The teething toys were ok, but basic teethers are simpler and seem to fit in our kids mouths better. lt costs quite a bit and gives you lots of quantity - but not sure if infants really care all that much. lnvesting in a few (different) sensory toys seemed to work better for us...

0k, so l had some issues with this set of toys. The first set of toys that l received in the mail didn't even have all the toys in it. There were only 11 of the 14 toys in the box. The big problem l had though was that the box of toys is not what is shown in the picture. 0nce Amazon sent me a new box with all the items, l still didn't get what l ordered. 0ne of the most notable items that was different were the links. The box l got had number links, O-9, intstead of the ABC links. 0ut of the 14 toys that were supposed to come in the box, only 3 were the toys shown on the webpage, the fish, a rattle, and the toy with polka dot balls on the ends. Although l am happy with the toys that l got, there were some toys that l thought that l was going to receive that l really wanted. l'm happy with them overall, since they price-matched themselves since it went from $29.99 to $14.99.

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A great baby shower gift!
lnstead of buying these items sperately over time, save yourself the money and buy this box (or add it to your baby shower gift list). l purchased these for my son when he was a few months old, he is now 1O months old and he is still enjoying them. They are bright, attractive and easy to play with. They are small enough to throw a couple into a nappy bag (sorry, diaper bag) without creating bulk. They are really handy for distracting your little one whilst you are on the go (in the car, shopping, etc.)and some are even bath friendly.

San Francisco filmmaker Ernie Fosselius made the most successful short film of all time in the 1978 Hardware Wars, an inspired, mock-trailer for a nonexistent, cheapo rip-off of Star Wars. It worked like this: instead of Chewbacca, Fosselius offers the Cookie Monster. Instead of Darth Vader's breathy, slightly echoed voice emerging somehow behind that black-mask helmet, we get a villain whose every ranting utterance is so muffled even this film's Princess Leia equivalent beseeches him, "What? I don't understand you." And so on. Part of the joke is that George Lucas's revolutionary special effects are supplanted by common kitchen gizmos--mixers, toasters--that serve as spaceships and weapons sources. The updated special edition contains 20 computer-generated "special defects" that don't--the distributor boasts--at all match Fosselius's earlier version. Um... right on? --Tom Keogh

It's Christmas in the tech noir slum of the post-apocalyptic future, and scrap-metal sculptor Stacey Travis gets a present she'll never forget. Scavenger boyfriend Dylan McDermott returns from the wastelands with the insectoid robot head of a killing machine. In no time it whirs to life and builds itself a gizmo-laden body out of handy appliances to continue its single-minded destruction of the human race, one warm body at a time. Director Richard Stanley, something of a scavenger himself, plunders everything from The Terminator, Blade Runner, and The Road Warriorto Short Circuit (the spidery construct resembles a demonic Number 5) for his violent flesh-vs.-metal survival thriller. Shot in sun-blasted orange and sweltering red, it's a triumph of style, set design, and grunge aesthetics over story, driven by a pounding techno score by Simon Boswell and punctuated by splattering gore. --Sean Axmaker
